At AstraZeneca UK Operations in Macclesfield, we will be launching many of AstraZeneca’s newly developed life changing medicines.

Are you an experienced Supply Chain professional looking for your next development opportunity, ready to make a difference to patients?

 If so, this is an exciting new position which is being created to lead a team managing New Product Introduction (NPI) launches and product life cycle projects at UK's largest pharmaceutical production facility.

We'll look to you to collaborate with key global functions to help evolve NPI processes, technologies and systems as we bring more new products to our multifaceted Macclesfield campus. You'll work with the packing Centre of Excellence to pilot new innovative manufacturing and supply chain processes.

Responsibilities:

We're looking for you to have knowledge of Supply Chain Project management and product life cycle related processes and switch management. You and your team will be leading the introduction of new products into our new Global Packing Centre as well as making divestments deals with AstraZeneca's partners for our mature products.

You'll lead all aspects of NPI and assigned life cycle projects. This will involve collaborating with groups such as: regulatory, artwork, operations, quality, shipping, customer service, regional and global supply teams.

Leading and mentoring a team of NPI and Supply Chain project managers, we're looking for an inspiring leader, who is passionate in driving performance to meet business needs.

A natural and confident communicator, you'll liaise with all key internal and external partners in order to meet the timelines agreed for launches or product life cycle changes.

We'll expect you to act as an integral member of the Sourcing & Supply leadership team. Providing leadership & drive within the wider organisation on site and globally.

Agile in nature, you'll be knowledgable in the understanding of NPI profiles, and will have the ability to link your knowledge of site capabilities to maximise product potential.

With your team, you'll actively identify and resolve potential roadblocks or potential conflicts which may impact project timelines.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in a Supply Chain Environment (Manufacturing, Logistics, Planning Distribution)
  • Experience of working within a regulated environment would be helpful
  • Exposure of working globally would be beneficial
  • Confirmed leadership experience
  • Experience in collaboration with the key interfaces within a global end to end supply chain, with manufacturing and between supply chain and commercial functions
  • Manufacturing Excellence / Lean capability, with BPM and problem solving experience
  • NPI experience would be useful as would a degree qualification in or equivalent in Business, Logistics, Sciences or Engineering
