We are looking for a IT Finance Support Analyst to join us on a permanent basis in Cambridge.

The finance area must respond quickly to change within the business, the impact of these changes has to be assessed across a portfolio of applications quickly and accurately, and then implemented effectively ensuring the normal running of the financial processes are uninterrupted. Close working with business partners, IT and the third-party suppliers is a key success factor.

We ensure master data is accurate and the systems supporting the processes run smoothly and that access is controlled tightly – helping to provide the right information in the right form in the right timeframe. We ensure that due process is followed and as we are listed on the US stock exchange, we operate within the SOx framework for statutory reporting.

Key Accountabilities

  • Subject Matter Expert on Hyperion Financial Management and other Hyperion financial systems including Hyperion Planning, Essbase, and Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS) and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)
  • Provide 1st line support to global user community, through incident management systems and monitoring of helpdesk mailbox during the critical days of the statutory month/quarter-end, and quarterly planning cycles.  Working closely with technical teams to provide analysis of issues, testing of fixes, and timely communication of resolutions to the business.
  • Working with the business to capture change requirements, using Hyperion expertise to model potential solutions, assisting with user acceptance testing, and collaborating with technical teams to ensure the smooth roll out of change releases.
  • Assist in developing training content, and provide Hyperion & Smart View training to the end user community
  • Acting as central point of communication to the business on system outages, maintenance, data refreshes, and updates
  • To work within agreed development and support standards and processes, supporting the business capability and technology roadmaps set by IT.  Ensuring Service Management principles are followed for the management of the corporate information model (e.g. ITIL standards for the recording of incidents, problems, requests and changes).

Skills Required

  • Worked in a similar Hyperion Financial Management Support Analyst role
  • Demonstrable experience as a business, data or systems analyst with knowledge of good information management principles.
  • Experience capturing and implementing system changes
  • SME in Financial Planning Processes and Financial Statutory Reporting standards, gained through meaningful study of financial qualifications such as CIMA or ACCA (PART QUALIFIED OR FINALIST STAGE OR QBE)
  • Excellent analytical skills. Recognised methodology for Problem solving and root cause analysis
  • Ability to positively collaborate with technical and business communities at strategic and detailed level
  • Advanced level Excel skills
