A new and exciting Advanced Analytics team has been formed within the Data, Automation and Analytics stream of the GBS organisation. We are responsible for standing up a fully functional Advanced Analytics practice that can both initiate, maintain and deliver on a pipeline of analytics opportunities across the Group. The team has established four competency centres covering a range of capabilities including Cognitive Automation, Natural Language Generation, Predictive Modelling, and Process Mining.

To support the growth agenda of this new team, we are looking for Delivery Leads to provide end to end oversight of the generation, prioritisation, planning and delivery of an innovative pipeline of advanced analytics opportunities.

You will have a strong desire to drive incremental business value using analytics, with extensive experience in project and change management, stakeholder management and business analysis. Your experience will be combined with a strong technical and analytical mindset, data domain experience and knowledge of data science techniques. To be successful in this role, we would like you to be able to communicate simply and effectively, with precision and impact across the global user community.

Main duties and responsibilities

Reporting to the Advanced Analytics Director, you will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Responsible for the generation of advanced analytics opportunities ensuring that the high-level problem statement, potential analytical approach and business value is captured and understood
  • Develop a pipeline of work through interaction with relevant partners internal and external to the team, driving priority based on quantifiable business benefit in addition to alignment with the strategic direction of the GBS Advanced Analytics team
  • Identify resource requirements to form ‘delivery pods’ and provide input into delivery planning as required
  • Advise on the capacity and priorities of upcoming delivery cycles, balancing supply and demand across the business
  • Work with the Advanced Analytics Director to develop a process for Advanced Analytics delivery utilising relevant methodologies, tools and best practices. Take ownership of this delivery process and ensure adherence within the delivery pod(s).
  • Manage the workflow and tasks of relevant delivery pod(s), utilising an agile way of working and ensuring progress aligns with committed milestones
  • Reporting on successful implementations, pipeline demand and open risks/issues around the delivery of the pipeline in conjunction with other delivery pod members as appropriate ensuring an appropriate cadence of communication with partners
  • Work with others in extended Data Automation and Analytics team to embed new agile ways of working, cultivating continuous improvement wherever possible

Essential requirements

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
  • Previous demonstrate experience of change management
  • Prior experience of delivering Data driven projects
  • Energetic and self-motivated
  • Excellent presentation & oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to discover and interpret business change requirements
  • Strong knowledge of analytics and visualisation tools and good understanding of data science methods
  • Previous experience of process change and/or technology implementation (RPA, Ariba, ERP etc)
  • The ability analyse and redesign business processes using standard business process re-engineering techniques, e.g. swim lane diagrams, Lean Six Sigma
  • Willingness to undertake some domestic / international travel (as required)

Desirable:

  • You will have previous experience of holding a similar senior role within a Finance or Commercial team
  • You will have RPA or other automation implementation experience
  • You'll have experience in leading data science driven projects
  • You will have experience and proven results of change projects within the Pharma industry
