We have an exciting role opening for a Finance Business Partner for our new API Commercialisation facility (APICOM), based on the College Park site in Dublin.  This role will be part of the site leadership team, with wide ranging responsibility to support decision making, lead on planning and reporting processes, and constructively challenge to deliver productivity and financial improvements.  The role will also work closely with our Axial team (AZ Ireland is one of the first Axial entities to go live), and will be connected into the broader AZ Finance network, working with central Ops Finance colleagues, GFS, and Rare Disease Finance teams co located in Dublin.

Introduction to Role:

Join us at an exciting time of growth and evolution in our Operations function at the new API Commercialisation facility in Dublin, Ireland. The new API Commercialisation facility is currently under construction on the College Park site in Dublin, Ireland.  This new internal production capability will change the way we develop and manufacture APIs, providing a fast, flexible and reliable internal launch capability, enabling speed to market and mitigating risk from reliance on external suppliers.  It will also unlock lower cost vs. outsourcing.

This business partner role provides financial leadership to the management teams at site, and is an integral member of the site Leadership Team. The role holder will provide insightful financial and commercial input to business decisions, challenge key forecasting assumptions and deliver expert financial analysis of key risks and sensitivities. Be supported to face the unexpected every day in our constantly changing manufacturing environment.

Accountabilities:

As a Finance Business Partner, you will be a fully integrated member of the site Leadership Team, supporting the Site Lead to drive strategic and tactical direction. You will constructively challenge the business to deliver efficiency and financial improvements, develop financial / commercial awareness of leadership teams and broader factory as a whole. You will lead on Financial Planning and reporting for the APICOM site (MTP, Budget, RBU’s, month end), including input into standard costing. You will provide regular financial performance data to support operational decision making and develop models and insights to test and support business strategy.

  • Develop financial / commercial awareness of leadership teams and broader factory as a whole

  • Provide oversight of the Capital Project, working alongside GERE to ensure delivery in line with business case, and facilitating delivery of other business case benefits (tax credits, IDA grants)

  • Work alongside the Axial team to ensure successful localisation and implementation of S4 (AZ Ireland is one of the first Axial entities)

  • Connect with the AZ Ireland Financial Controlling team and broader Alexion Finance network to ensure campus costs are understood and appropriately allocated

  • Connect into the broader AZ Finance network, working alongside central Ops Finance colleagues to ensure plans and performance are understood, and with GFS to identify and deliver key improvement areas

  • Operate key monthly controls and ensure corporate governance standards are met
