About the role

The position of Assistant Manager holds a range of responsibilities of leading GCO Market Access Reporting team and focused on design, development, and management of BI solutions. Requires a deep understanding of Data warehousing, MSTR, Power BI and its capabilities, as well as the ability to work with data and present it in a user-friendly manner. 

This role also requires leadership and project management skills, interfacing with direct stakeholders, namely in US Market Access Insights Team. 

Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

  • Managing the day-to-day activities of the team.

  • Developing and implementing a timeline to achieve targets.

  • Conducting training of team members to maximize their potential.

  • Empowering team members with skills to improve their confidence, product knowledge, and communication skills.

  • Design, develop and maintain Power BI, MSTR Dashboards using graphs, panel stacks, selectors, widgets, swipe and tap functionality.

  • Good understanding in Data concepts.

  • Collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Ability to connect data to the business.

  • Analytical expertise with demonstrated data management skills.

  • Complex problem-solving capability and ever improvement approach.

  • Conceptualize and Design the best fit solution against the requirements.

  • Manage end to end Projects from requirements gathering to production go live.

  • Must be analytic, creative and self-motivated.

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint experience.

  • Strong Project Management.

  • Work Effectively within a global team environment.

  • Liaise with the data team to suggest required changes on data side to work towards “as far downstream as possible”. 

  • Undertaking appropriate data transformation, if required on BI side 

  • Data validation and quality checks to ensure dashboards behave as desired 

  • Guiding the customer during acceptance testing 

  • Logging and investigating customer support issues and questions 

  • Work to agreed timelines whilst sustaining quality outcomes 

  • Create and maintain a standardized, best practice development frame work 

  • Lead and guide potential team resources

  • The responsible in this role will have the opportunity to propose new solutions, either within the existing Power BI setup or to suggest how additional functionality could better support the business.  

Essential Skills and experience

  • Professional experience in Business Intelligence with at least 8+ years, leading a team and hands on experience with Power BI & MSTR and Market Access Data. 

  • Expert in Data visualization skills using MicroStrategy, Power platform tools, Data Engineering.

  • Strong knowledge in Databases and SQL.

  • Experience in gathering and documenting requirements for Data Requirements.

  • Full life cycle implementation experience using various SDLC methodologies.

  • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written English.

  • Strong customer service focus.

  • Collaborative, flexible and a team player.

  • A proactive approach and focus on team success 

  • A strong command of English and effective communication skills 

  • Excellent analytical and logical thinking 

  • Highly motivated self-starter, driven for results, effective at prioritizing and managing multiple tasks concurrently 

  • Good communication and presentation skill 

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 

Desirable Skills and experience

  • Power BI, Agile

  • Experience in Pharma, IQVIA, Market Access Data
